8. Austin Allen GARRON (photo) was born on 8 Sep 1889 in Westport, Nova Scotia. He died on 17 Oct 1934 in Westport, Nova Scotia. He was a fisherman. Austin and Edward Thomas were bringing a load of firewood from Metegan when the boat foundered in Grand Passage. Austin was lost overboard; Edward lashed himself to the boat and was saved. He was married to Edith Gertrude DENTON on 19 Oct 1912 in Westport, Nova Scotia.

9. Edith Gertrude DENTON was born on 23 Nov 1892 in Westport, Nova Scotia. She died in 1930 in Westport, Nova Scotia. Children were:
