2156. Josiah SEARS died in 1727 in Provincetown, Barnstable, Massachusetts. He was born @1675 in Yarmouth, Barnstable Co. Massachusetts. Josiah Sears removed to East Bridgewater, Mass., about 1711, and lived in the old house afterward owned by Capt. Jona. Bass, in rear of Samuel B. Allen's, returning to the Cape about 1725. The estate of Josiah Sears of PRovincetown was settled in 1727, his widow Judith being appd admx, Aug. 23, in that year. The inventory amounted to L 122 7 0, and dower was set off Apr. 25, 1728. The estate proved to be insolvent. The will of Samuel Howes of Yarmouth, dated Jun 8, 1722, names "Samuel, Mercy and Hannah Sears, children of my daughter Mercy Sears, deceased," and "grandson Samuel Sears, son Josiah Sears, now living with me."
He was married to Mercy HOWES on 3 Apr 1702 in Yarmouth, Barnstable Co. Massachusetts.

2157. Mercy HOWES died on 20 May 1720 in Bridgewater, Massachusetts. She was born @1680 in Yarmouth, Barnstable Co. Massachusetts. She was a granddaughter of Joseph and Elizabeth (Mayo) Howes Children were:
